For me, over the counter imodium worked best for my diarrhea. For the hand and foot pain, I used arnicare gel. I also have compression socks and gloves that I wear. They help by enhancing blood circulation in the legs and feet. They can reduce swelling, prevent blood clots, and alleviate pain and discomfort. Additionally, they may improve lymphatic drainage, reduce muscle strain during exercise, and lessen dizziness when standing. I believe that they really helped. What other concerns do you have?

Due to Chemo treatments, it reduces your blood cell count thus your NK cells and TCells that destroy cancer as the Chemo fights the cancer. It can take more than a year to recover your NK, TCells fully. I have heard of cancer returning and when it does it comes back with a vengeance, can not be stopped. All your natural defenses are mostly gone.

It appears my husband is allergic to immodium. He tried it for diarrhea symptoms and had throat tightening. He was give Lomotil which helped but is also by prescription only. I was hoping he could have used immodium but afraid to try it again.
Do you use the compression gloves and socks while getting chemo?
