Hi
This issue started with me also at the age of 65 I am now 67 which is still hard to believe anyway. I too went to a dermatologist had biopsies done blood work everything's normal. Mine seems to come and go in Cycles it will completely clear up in the winter and then as soon as the warm weather hits in my arms are exposed it's there and I can barely tap my arms and they have a spot right now they're a mess and I'm so tired of it also there is a cream you can get from the health food store which I put on nightly that does seem to help them go away faster it is called arnica by A. Vogel is like a gel and make sure it says for bruises. That is the only thing I have found that actually helps get rid of them quicker. I find that sometimes I just wake up with them in the morning so in the night I must have scratched myself or something. It really plays on your mental health for some reason I think it's because of the comments people say when they see you without sleeves. I believe that my medication causes it and I believe it is from the Statin because when I went off it they disappeared. I hope you find some help with this. Unfortunately I have to take a Statin so I'm stuck with this and it also is on my shins

Mine is from taking baby aspirin every day.

I feel what you’re going through! I get back injections every month for my back. Steroids! I’ve asked a couple doctors if my bruises could be from the injections and was told probably not because the injections are isolated to my back.
I don’t believe that! I think the injections have a lot to do with my bruising. The bruises started not long after I started the injections. I’m so tired of being in pain I’m getting a MRI to see if anything can be done to help my back pain. I started out saying the last thing I would do is surgery. But after a few years of progressively worsening pain, I’m ready to do anything if it will help. I can’t handle living like this. My fibromyalgia pain is bad enough! But my back pain has taken over my life. I’m supposed to be packing to move, but not much is getting done! My arms get bad with multiple brushes I have no idea where they came from, and I don’t like people staring at my arms either!

I'm on blood pressure meds and think they contribute also. Anything that effects the blood can cause excessive and prolonged bruising.
