Also, my first impression of Paul Stamets was through a movie that features him called Fantastic Fungi. It has great photography and time lapse video sequences. The movie’s section on Turkey Tail is towards the end of the movie. It was available to view on-line from Netflix and other services.
I have done a lot of research reading professional medical journals and although I don’t necessarily understand all of the biochemistry in the articles, the upshot is that the mushroom has a role in fighting prostate, colorectal, breast and a few other cancers.

I also forage in my local woods and collect Turkey Tail mushrooms. I then make a week's supply of tea in a crock pot and refrigerate it until I finish it.
