The way it was explained to me to go to MN campus, is they sent a summary of your case to the multidisciplinary teams/Drs. They will decide if they believe they can provide unique help or clinical interest in your specifics and ask the coordinator to give me a call that I was accepted and send out an invitation to create a patient online services to communicate to my care team. It went quickly from there, signed release of medical info to them, etc . (I don't know how they send out a denial). Mayo was the only hospital in USA that had a specialty group concerning in my type of lung cancer. My Oncologist had uploaded 75 pages within 24 hrs of info with the initial referral.

In Rochester I think the Tumor Board has an early morning review of cases (I get a review for each CT scan to watch multiple nodules). In the beginning I called and they said to set up a patient account at the moment and then send scans when I had them and doctors would review.
