Hello… I’m in a very similar situation. Stress fractures/ stress reactions in all toes diagnosed three years ago …. Probably as a result of running with bio mechanical issues. I’m older though… 59 now. Also had a ganglion and now have a neuroma which the surgeon is reluctant to remove in case it makes things worse. I’m still having pain that limits what I do. I’ve tried acupuncture…. Orthotics…. Etc. I’ve recently started a course of mls therapy though and am feeling hopeful. If that doesn’t work then I will explore shockwave. I will let you know. Sharing so you know you’re not alone in the journey too.

I had a neuroma many years ago. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever had - would wake me up at night. I had it surgically removed. Gosh, it was the size of a quarter. I was probably in my 40s. Wonder why the surgeon thinks it would make things worse. As posted above, I have other problems - and some of the pain on the side of my foot and over the top of the foot was from the nerve compression, but I have other “stuff.” Osteochondral defect of the ankle. Hyaluronic acid injections has helped that enough I can now walk mostly pain free. Yikes. Sometimes does seem like one thing or another!
