I thought I was doing better with a Omeprazole and Claritin approach but proved wrong last couple days. Work related social events with presentations and group dinner created some underlying social stress which creates non stop sticky mucus that make it difficult to talk. Once home and able to decompress, phlegm still worse than baseline but gradually improving. Stress is a major trigger, even when I don't feel anxious, just background stress and needing to be on the ball, and this environment is just a nightmare for the amount of phlegm it triggers. There doesn't seem to be an answer however I'm going to try CBD during these events to see if it can reduce underlying stress and phlegm reaction. Other than the noise huffing and throat clearing we suffer in silence. This is such a horrible affliction 3.5 years and counting. I'm still fighting and hoping for some relief for myself and you all someday.

I agree that stress is a major factor in this! Have you heard of Xhance? A new type of fluticasone inhaler that delivers into the sinuses by blowing through the mouth. I know it sounds weird, but it really helped me! Trelegy also helped. Along with Albuterol, Mucinex, antihistamine & decongestant. In the past few days I have only needed my albuterol to clear the sticky throat phlegm. Great relief!! I also take cbd to relax & sleep. I hope this helps you. Xhance is expensive & requires a special pharmacy. I was lucky to get samples from my allergist. I hope to read great comments about your improvement too!

Stress is a killer for us! It flares up my symptoms like crazy. I keep a hot drink with me all of the time as sipping on it breaks up the mucus. People are just used to me and my stainless mug at every meeting and meal.

I am taking low dose naltrexone and it has minimized the mucus quite a bit. It is thought to modulate the immune system. I have had my skin clear up and my pain from the constant inflammation improve since I started it three months ago.
