I’ve been told that medication will not control Hashimoto’s disease, only through diet. Eliminating Gluten, Dairy and Soy are the top causing foods that cause inflammation with Hashimoto’s. By eliminating them, I was able to get mine under better control. I was testing at 600 and now I’m in the 80’s, much better, but still have some symptoms. I dropped my numbers by diet alone, but I do also take Synthroid 75 mcg for my Hypothyroidism. There is a great book by Isabella Wentz, M.D. on the root causes of Hashimoto’s. Get it and do it! Good luck! By the way, I am not getting kick backs from referring her book, I just know it works.
