Is CA 19.9 at 40, a cause for concern?

Thank you so much for your detailed response. No current chemo or cancer. The results came from a routine health screening hence I was curious and a little concerned. It could be an inflammation somewhere but I’ve booked an appointment with a gastroenterologist just to have it checked out.

Good to hear you don't have a diagnosis of cancer and you are being proactive. I'm fascinated by the fact that you got a ca19-9 as part of a routine screening. Why? Do you have a history of pancreatic cancer in your family? Do you live in the US? I wish more drs would do these cancer screenings as part of routine screenings as it would be beneficial to the patient as well as to insurance companies to catch any cancer quickly.
