Lumpectomy + radiation VS Mastectomy -- pros cons?

I had my original diagnosis almost 21 years ago, and I didn’t get one either. They are a test to help decide if chemo is needed and to help guide treatment plans.
You and I are part of the time when they had some testing to see how aggressive it was, then they just gave us everything. Haha It still didn’t keep it from coming back. It certainly has made me grateful, thinking about all the years I have been on borrowed time. We got this💕
May I ask is this the same breast as the mastectomy, returning in the scar, or the other breast where you had the lumpectomy?

My cancer has been in my left breast all 3 times. The first was a tumor. Had a lumpectomy, radiation, chemo. 2nd time was a calcification that was cancer- DCIS. Mastectomy only.
The 3rd time was in pretty much the same place as #2.
I'm sure that radiology will recommend radiation, but TBD.
