@sharona09 Are you looking for a psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D) who will meet with you on a regular basis for psychotherapy? Or are you looking for a psychiatrist (MD) who will meet with you to prescribe and adjust your mental health medications?
I live in a rural region of Michigan and while the number of mental health providers (mostly social workers) has increased their practices are usually full. I suggest that you use all your resources and keep trying.
Here is one website that lists both psychologists and psychiatrists. Not everyone in your area will be listed here as the mental health providers choose to participate in this website:
Psychology Today: Find a Therapist
-- https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists
You can also search for a psychologist who is listed in your state or province's psychological association.
Here is the national listing for psychologists:
American Psychological Association Psychologist Locator:
American Psychiatry Association: Psychiatrist Locator
-- https://finder.psychiatry.org/s/
Thank you, just looking for therapy. I have tried Psychology Today and psychiatry.org, but I also live in a rural area, and only come up with a few. I prefer a female who reduces my options. I will keep trying.
