I am facing a similar question. I had breast cancer 30 yrs ago and had a lumpectomy, radiation and chemo. 2 yrs ago I was diasgnosed with DCIS and had a mastecomy. In May, I was diasgnosed again and just had a lumpectomy. TBD what types of therapy I might face, including radiation. I am nervous about that since I had a lot in round 1 of this disease. I am also wary of aromatase inhibitors. I am 70 yrs old and have osteopenia. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I am sorry you are facing this disease yet again. They don’t typically like to radiate the same place twice. I don’t blame you about being nervous of AI, with osteopenia.
The treatments will hopefully look a lot better than they did 30 years ago. Do you know if your doctor ordered an oncotype score?
