You do need to be weaned off of prednisone. You do not need that with the other two drugs and can just stop them. If you don’t wean yourself off prednisone, you will find that you are extremely tired in the afternoons. Even though you are only on 5 mg of prednisone, your body‘s production of cortisol doesn’t always return right away, So you may need cortisol from prednisone for two or three months, while you slowly taper.
