Thank you for sharing that “Scoop”! I plan to try that. I have been having lower left abdominal pain for recurring for about 5 months almost daily. Colonoscopy 2 years ago and ctscan last month showed diverticula which my GI explained is diverticulosis and said it’s “annoying - some people swear by peppermint oil. “ I have found that minimally helpful. Peppermint tea about the same.
In the past when I tried to amp up fiber I included small amounts of psyllium in my morning breakfasts only. I find the pain a bit more severe than annoying. So I will try anything that sounds sensible and has helped other!

Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, @brooklynchristopher. I'm sorry to hear about the pain you've experienced.

Makes sense you are trying to find anything sensible that has helped others. Has anything you've been prescribed or done helped calm the pain at all?

Hi. My husband has diverticulosis. He had been continuing to loose weight. Pain in his lower abdomen Finally a doc decided to do an endoscopy and determined he has celiac disease.
Hope you feel better soon
