You won't know if you are CR until you start ADT and they do blood work. You won't know if the therapies worked unless you come off ADT and see what what the blood work says. You can always go back on. Are you saying you have zero SE's while on ADT? I question because I don't know anyone that didn't have something. ADT is bad for your liver and potentially your heart. It isn't a healthy drug for your overall body. Taking a break will give your body systems a chance to normalize and an opportunity to see if your treatments have actually worked. You medical team will be following you. Starting my 6th month on ADT and hate it. I will hate it a lot less if it worked. I know it worked at my 3 month blood check and will test at 6 months after finishing. Looking forward to feeling better for a least a while. Will reevaluate in Feb. Best wishes and don't let fear drive you to less than optimal decisions.

Prostate removal surgery in January 2022. Began Orgovyx ADT in Jan 2023 and radiation in May 2023. PSA has been < 0.01 undetectible since the radiation.

I have sore joints, sore muscles, overall weakness and tiredness, and occasional hot flashes at night during sleep. Is all that related to ADT? I don't know. But seems to me this is tolerable and much better than having my cancer come back (PSA start to increase).

This is very confusing. My drs want me to come off the ADT. I can't understand why.
