I looked up urticaria vs eczema. Two different types of presentations on the skin. So interesting that there are so many types of skin problems and many if not all appear to have a relationship to inflammation.
My dad had psoriasis over his entire body. His psoriasis surfaced when he was 18. For Dad the sun would help clear it up and then resurface in the winter. For me, the Eczema, the sun and temp does just the opposite, I do believe that is what caused this flare up for me, my being out in the sun for over an hour in high temperature....plus and maybe...the day after that I had a regular visit with the dermatologist who 'burned off' pre cancer areas. So all three.... sun, temp. and 'burn off' probably came together to cause the flare up. My philosophy is: "it is never one thing" rather it is a combination of things, most times. that cause events and happenings. I wonder?????
Hope you have had an easy day considering all.

Hi pacathy- So far I consider the Eczema flare up mild. The itching lasted a good few days and all has subsided I am happy to say. Just waiting on the red rash to fully go away.
All this just made me think about a few things...like my three bouts with shingles which were mild, my mild case of Covid, and now this first flare up of Eczema and my low load of MAI with the Bronchiectasis.
Hoping I can keep my immune system strong enough to be able to say in the future....all mild cases.
For me putting the weight back on has been a challenge. I am stable but at about 98lbs at 5' 4"and a 1/4" tall, that is not enough. Without the cake and ice cream type of treats it is hard to get the BMI up there.
Hope your day goes well.
