I also have had that tightness between my shoulder blades and it feels as if it's going to cramp, especially when I lay on my back. Can't stay in that position long. PMR is a strange disease and it affects people differently. We know our bodies better than the Drs and know when something is unusual or may not fit the textbook case. It doesn't mean it's not related to PMR. I also have had an achy feeling near my tailbone (initially) and pain not on the outer parts of my hips, but the inner parts. I've also had pain in the backs of my thighs, which isn't textbook. God created us all uniquely, and what may not affect one person, may affect another. It may help to keep a diary of activity/pain to see patterns.
