Altered sense of taste, good way to put it! People have asked me about this and I’ve tried to explain it, but hard to get it across. I will look for that shake, but sadly, we no longer live near a Publix- and we miss it! I have seven more rounds of chemo after I have some recovery time from the surgery, so that definitely changes my taste!

Yep, the taste of everything changes with chemo. I even had some issues with taste after my scans when they administered the contrast by IV. Please know that I’ve had 8 rounds of chemo in three different periods. 3 back in November, two in February and three in late march/early April. After and during each session I had a very metallic taste in my mouth as well as a funky sensation like I had just eaten something that was greaser oil coated giving me a coated sensation in my mouth. Another thing that got to me was drinking tap water out of the faucet. It had a very metallic taste about it too so I switched to drinking water out of the fridge door or bottled water. This was very h!
