I always like to encourage people to talk to your doctor about this. I took it for years and the side effects were manageable. Mostly related to the new lack of estrogen.
Many, thousands of women take this drug with very manageable side effects, but they are usually not the people posting here looking for support.
I would decide with my doctor if it makes sense, and not refuse to even try it based on someone else’s experience. You can always quit taking it if it does not continue to make sense to you, because this is your journey.😃
Have you met with medical oncology yet?

Thank you for responding. When I received my diagnosis of Pagets disease of the breast I was stunned of how few cases the breast surgeon had seen. My oncologist said I was one of 5 cases she's seen for Pagets.
She explained I could experience hot flashes and night sweats. Never had either during or after menopause. OK I can manage that BUT it's the other side effects I'm concerned about. I have controlled HBP, cholesterol and taking Eliquis (developed post surgical blood clot in arm pit) it's gone now. I don't want to escalate any of these conditions.
I want to have a good quality of life and not deal with side effects of anastrozole.
