I am wondering about your sciatica….I had a complete hysterectomy in November, followed by chemo, followed by brachytherapy. ……and I have been bothered by sciatica since the surgery. Did I miss the memo on this, and wonder if it’s common after surgery?

I think it's so much more common to have sciatica, or at least persistent piriformis syndrome, after the surgery, yet the doctors never tell you about it. They'll say that your body has to adjust and that it could take several weeks or even months to settle down, but they'll just tell you to go to PT. It's so frustrating, because you are pretty much left on your own to get through it.

A few months after my treatment ended (chemo, radiation, brachytherapy) I thought I had sciatica. Long story short, I had a pelvic insufficiency fracture. As you didn’t have pelvic radiation, I suspect that this is not the case, but I just wanted to put it out there as yet another side effect of treatment on that long list of possibilities.
