Trouble walking

Posted by topsz @topsz, May 16, 2025

I haven’t been diagnosed yet, but feet are numb and legs are weak and I’m walking like a penguin. My balance is off. Could this be neurothapy? Who can diagnose? Also have really bad lower back pain the am. ?

I've had the same symptoms for 3 plus years after anterior total hip. I've talked to my doctor about it and she says it's radiculopathy. No tests done, no referrals. I've had it with this person and if she doesn't address this at my Medicare PE, I'm leaving her for someone who will. I have left leg pain, tingling thigh, calf cramps, cold feet and trouble walking. I'll look for anyone's answer about the doctor to see.

Hi Miss Daisy!

Don’t wait. Another trip to see her won’t change what is going on with you previously and to date. She’s probably been this way her entire career. Don’t worry about hurting her feelings if you cancel the appointment. She’s probably never even going to realize. Advocate for your health and protect yourself from doctors like her. You’re letting her control your quality of life. 😉

Thanks. Anybody taking HGH or peptides?

Ever since developing trigeminal neuralgia thru playing sax too much as an 81 yr old, I have learned thru Google that our nerves are coated with a protecting fat shield called MYELIN. Vitamin B12 makes myelin. All seniors get very little B12 because their diet has very little and stomach acid is 30 % lower. Acid released B12 from animal proteins.
Then there is the effect of alcohol. It's a poison of sorts. It causes millions of microscopic pours in our 20 ft long intestine internal wall to close, temporally. No wonder little B12 gets into circulation where it can replace missing myelin thought the whole body. The body needs at least 4.5 micrograms B12 daily. One steak only as 1.5 . Mussels have 9 times more than steak.
So try taking B12 supplement.

I have stopped red wine and take 20 micrograms B12 daily .

Back again. Mild neuropathy mild arthritis. My back hurts very bad in the AM. Over the past few days my legs can barely hold me up. I still think I have a pinched nerve but everyone said no!

@topsz I have what I can only describe is excruciating back pain when I move side to side or do any kind of muscle movement like pick up a basket of laundry. Anything that I have to do where I bend over just a little bit it makes me cry. The pain is incredible. The only way I can relieve it is to sit down. I’ve had x-rays. I have arthritis and I have spondylitis. No Doctor can help me because I’ve had all the shots and that hasn’t helped. I’ve had Physical Therapy that has not helped and this has been going on for more than 20 years but it’s getting worse and when I tell the doctor about it, they just kinda look at me and Shrug because I’ve done everything I can do.
