I am 67 yr old. My father had prostate cancer. I now have it. Gleason score is 3+4=7. I have PNI. I want to do the LDR Brachytherapy with radiated seeds implanted in my prostate. My urologist told me to talk with a radiologist before I decide. My radiologist, who does LDR Brachytherapy often, informs me that brachy will do as good a job as radiation with the PNI. My urologist told me something different. Then my radiologist, while praising my urologist, told me that my urologist was not an expert in LDR and he assured me that I would be just fine with the brachy.
I do not want to take it out due to side effects other men I know have had.
How did you, or others, do with the LDR Brachytherapy? Any regrets? Were you convinced brachy is as good as targeted radiation?
I am getting a LOT of contradictory information. Any input, comments would be appreciated. Thank you

Second RO opinion - even a third - is an absolute MUST before you do anything.
