I had to have help too. The current stress in the US the media too many life changes unrealistic life expectations loss of my ability to set boundaries. I have ptsd. I am in 2 other support groups where zoom meetings are held. In one group I have a peer to peer support person. This group is very helpful. I had the experience of trying churches and their groups but it was toxic for me. The individuals there were judgemental and controlling. Keep looking. Can you get a pet? I have 2 dogs that are my emotional support animals. About 8 months ago due to the election etc I got in a very dark place. I have social security so I focused on that. Obtaining facts making sure my social security was in order. I listen to Dr Ed Weir who ran the 3rd largest social security office. This was the beginning of another second chance for me. I mentioned this because I try to be very logical and use critical thinking skills. I do now email senators in my state asking them to intervene in regards to social security medicaid medicare etc. It gave me a purpose again. I walk daily 3000 plus steps daily read and listen to psycho education podcasts on you tube. Paradoxically 2 of my prescription meds were reduced in dosage. Escitalopram from 10mg to 5mg. I take lamotrgine for seizure prophylaxis ER 100mg. The origional dose was 200mg daily. It is lots of work to stay physically and mentally healthy. I have to set and reset boundaries a lot and most people do not like it nor understand it.

Thank you for sharing! I like the idea of using support groups online. Could you possibly share the ones you use by sending links or maybe the name of them?

Im glad you've been able to decrease your medication. That's awesome. Yes I do have a pet, they are great outlets. I've tried zoom groups a few times but it just felt very disconnecting for me.
Yes, upkeep of the physical and mental is a real job.
