I’ve been told to go on the drugs too. I’ve been going to Osteostrong for over 2 years but doc doesn’t think it’s enough. I’ve been doing my research and so far have picked evenity. But, I read you have a shot a month for 12 months and then have to take something else. You can’t continue it for more than a year. Is this your understanding too?
Good luck to us all!

@patjack2 My endocrinologist told me 2 injections for 12 months. At the 12 month mark I'd have another bone density scan which I did last November. The bone density scan showed significant gain in my hip and moderate gain in my lower back. My endocrinologist then ordered a Reclast infusion to "lock in these gains" since he told me that the gains from Evenity can be lost rather quickly. Evenity and Reclast are two different types of medications. Evenity helps to build up bone density. Reclast helps to maintain the bone density that is already present. That's the explanation my doctor told me.

Does this explanation help for your situation?
