I’m in southwest florida. Went to my medical doctor today he’s checking surgeons at Cleveland clinic in Weston that do ceramic hip revision. By next week I’ll have a referral. I will keep you posted. Thank you again!
On Feb 14, 2025 I had a hip revision from an initial hip replacement done in November of 2022. My implant was a STRYKER Dual Mobility, which is/was metal on metal, the metal flaked off and I have metalosis now, which had destroyed the bone surrounding the hip joint. The revision entailed carving out the damaged bone and filling in the gaps with synthetic bone and PRAYING that all of the infection is gone. It has been 4 months, I am still in pain, some days stabbing pain and I cannot MOVE. My surgeon is telling me it's probably bursitis- the x rays do not show any reason for the pain. HE ALSO tells me there are numerous patients at The Cleveland Clinic with my same implant having the SAME issues. I am curious if that's true and what the recourse is- I cannot find an attorney that with look into it.
