I have idiopathc peripheral neuropathy. I experienced balance problems about 10 years ago - I walked like a drunk and fell over for no apparent reason. I went to a doctor who specializes in this sort of problem and I was diagnosed as having a lack of proproception (my feet and my brain don't talk to each other). I have been dealing with peripheral neuropathy as best I can. I read everything I can find about PN, I go to the gym 3 x a week and walk with a cane. It's important to find a neurologist who will perform tests to determine the type of PN you have (I tried 3 neurologists before I found one that I'm comfortable with). Google the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy for good information. Don't give up - keep demanding that your doctor work with you and ask for the help you need to live your life the best way that you can.

Can you give us any insight of what methods doctor helped you with? Know we’re all different but like to know different methods that helped?
