Diagnosed 4/2023 grade 2 idc. K67 25, oncotype +, hr+, her2- lumpectomy, stage 1a. Chemo because of the positive oncotype. Did Taxotere and cytoxan. Complete loss of hair (warned before) but it has grown back. Did get neuropathy in legs and feet that hung on for a while - dr suggested alpha lipoic acid which helped immensely so only residual is mild neuropathy left foot. Most damaging for me was mouth - did get sores, ulcers, swollen gums and lips, teeth moved (I felt that one when I yawned one day, weird feeling), loss of taste. Taste has never returned for the most part. Still get some residual sores but they heal quickly with antibacterial mouthwash. Did have 6000.00 worth of dental work done - broken teeth, loose fillings etc that I feel were secondary to the chemo and possible enhanced with ai therapy because none of it showed up right after the chemo but was present a year later. I’m still very tired but that could be due to the combination of chemo, radiation and exemestane. So, overall the chemo wasn’t bad, side effects mostly went away.

Thank you so much. Especially knowing chemo wasn't that bad on side effects
