Constant nausea and retching after esophagastrectomy

Not really. He's physically capable but vomiting has always been the result and now I'm afraid that he's just plain afraid to eat. He can and has had yogurts, pudding, Boost drinks (530 calories each), etc. Another thing, and research has also shown, nothing tastes the same to him anymore. I don't know if it's digestive enzymes, the result of medications, or what, but many people complain of this very same thing. Don't give up, eventually things will get better.

@aheid my husband had his surgery 5 months ago and he says things dont taste good .. the only thing he enjoys are popsicles! He has good days and bad every week where he has an appetite and eats and keeps it all down and other days when everything makes him viciously ill and he loses all of it. He has lost a lot of weight and can’t seem to gain at this rate.. praying for all of our loved ones!
