I'm so sorry you are having these experiences. Can you please share what Doctors and hospital you feel you had successful surgery and/or where this transfer study is being done. I had an accident in 2017 that broke multiple bones on my right side. The torn, retracted, fatty atrophied glute medius wasn't' diagnoised until 2024. All the Drs kept saying Greater Trochanctor burstis but my ability to walk continued to decline & I did not respond to PT. I was supposed to have transfer surgery at the Cleveland Clinic but the only surgeon who could do it, quit. I need to find a surgeon who will in-patient surgery at hospital since I have an allergy to many general anesthia. I do have a 100% disability PTSD from accident but like you, I keep plugging along. If you can share anything, I'd appreciate it.
hello again Rap2016. thank you for the referral of Dr. Cecillia Pascual-Garrido and Jewish Hospital. May I please confirm your surgery dates. Your message says you had a gluteus Maximus transfer in 2020, felt better, but then had balance problems. Had Gluteus Medius & Minimus seperation and surgery in 2021. Did Dr. Pascual_Garrido do both surgeries? I'm facing these surgeries & trying to understand all the complications and set backs. I'm so sorry to ask. I'm glad you are now in a study. I hope they can give you some relief. I was in a research study 2 years ago for something else. If you could let me know, I'd appreciate it. Continued good luck.

I'm following up on your mention of the study group and your participation. Do you have info to share? How many are participating? And is anyone waiting for a transfer? I look forward to your response.
