Pain With Broken Wrist

Have you had any physical therapy? A hand specialist could help strengthen your weakened muscles & ligaments. I have to admit, when I broke my wrist in 5 places, the rehab was the most painful. I remember crying while the therapist maneuvered my wrist and thinking it was torture. I had a lot of adhesions that required breaking down. I used a round ball with a rolling ball inside to exercise it at home. That seemed to help the most along with ice, lots of ice.

Yes, I did have rehab and I think it helped. Not sure. I also believe wearing a wrist brace after the cast came off, was very advantageous. I didn't wear it unless I was having pain, tenderness, needed support for one reason or another, etc. I let myself decide when I needed it without relying upon it.

So sorry you had such a complicated break and the pain during rehab. I well recall how painful the one fracture was, not so much during rehab but through most of the 6 wks of casting. It hurt so badly, I really felt like screaming.

I hope you are fully recovered!!! I can live with the subtle pain and occasional tweaks. Overall, it's sore but that may be what I'll have to live with.
Doing strengthening exercises now, trying to get back to lifting as per before the injury. At my age, I don't foresee that happening, but we do what we can.
Be well! And thank you for sharing.
