My husband developed BP about a year ago after undergoing immunotherapy for melanoma. It’s been a daily challenge with blisters developing on various parts of his body, itching and discomfort. When blisters break and ooze (and sting!) special care to apply steroid cream and bandaid. His dermatologist is following him closely. Various steroid creams, course of doxycycline. Have not tried oral steroids (yet). There will be some improvement for awhile, then new blisters will form. So frustrating. He was told this may “burn itself out” in 5 years?? If this has happened for anyone out there, please let us know. In the meantime, sending out positive thoughts and prayers for all of you suffering with this.

Thanks--it is such frustrating disease. I have been dealing with it for nearly five years, using Medrol, doxy, creams. Early this year it appeared that it was disappearing--then it reappeared with a vengeance. Dermatologist is planning an infusion to hopefully make it disappear. I understand your frustration--at times the itching is maddening. I wish you the best.
