In November 2023 I was diagnosed with GCA and polymyalgia rheumatica. Eight months of prednisone therapy was in store for me. As of June 2024, I have been off of prednisone. I still have polymyalgia pain that varies from day to day controllable with over-the-counter pain meds now. Throughout this whole journey I have had dizziness and equilibrium problems that have been reported to the rheumatologist. At first I thought it was a side effect of the medicine but now I know better…equilibrium and balance issues continue to come and go especially on days with high pain levels of PMR. I have also followed anti-inflammatory diet. At this time over-the-counter painkillers are the only thing that I take for the PMR. Wish I knew what is causing the dizziness and balance issues. Still a mystery for me.

I was looking over my comments about dizziness with PMR. My dizziness is not as bad as it was. You mention that the only medication you’re taking for your PMR is over-the-counter pain medication. What medications works the best for you to relieve your pain from PMR ? I figured out that my body cannot handle many medication‘s since I was young! I would very much appreciate any information that you can give me! Thank you very much for your response!!! my very very best wishes to you!!!

I would appreciate it very much if you could tell me which over-the-counter pain medication you were taking for your PMR as absolutely none of the medication‘s that I have taken his work for me and his only made me feel worse as I look back I always have problems with medication‘s. Thank you very very much my best wishes to you!!!
