Here is an additional article re low dosage reclast:
low-dose-reclast-1.pdf
In the 12-month phase II study of zole- dronate, several iv dosing regimens were demonstrated to be equally effective in decreasing markers of bone turn- over and increasing bone mineral density (BMD) (6). In- cluded among the treatments evaluated in that trial were three that involved administration of a total dose of 4 mg administered as a single baseline dose, two doses of 2 mg administered every 6 months, or four doses of 1 mg ad- ministered every 3 months; one that involved administra- tion of a total dose of 2 mg administered as 0.5 mg every 3 months; and one that involved administration of a total dose of 1 mg administered as 0.25 mg every 3 months. However, there are currently no studies that have evalu- ated the antiresorptive effects of annual doses of zoledro- nate below 4 mg.

@dgc

Thank you for sharing this valuable information. I'm presenting some of the Mayo Clinic Connect recommendations to my oncologist who has ordered a Reclast infusion for me. Can you tell me the source for the "additional article re: low dosage reclast" you refer to in your June 9, 2025 post?

I do see your previous reference to this source:

Thank you so much!
