Thank you - My surgery was 8/22 I still have diarrhea on and off, my surgeon told me it would be like that the rest of my life.
I do take fiber pills but not consistently, right now I have had diarrhea for 3 weeks any suggestions?
And has any one else has it for three years after surgery?

Thanks!

After my colon resection in 2022, the magic diarrhea cure for me was 2 cups of peaches in water (no syrup) everyday. The soluble fiber in peaches gently slowed the process and I started having well formed movements. 3 years later and after 12 rounds of chemo. It depends on the day. Sometimes I still have diarrhea, which the peaches still help, but mostly I'm constipated and drink lemon juice daily and extra fluids to keep things moving. It's not like it was before surgery, but it's manageable. I stopped the use of all miralax and metamucil due to crucial, uncomfortable side effects. All hail lemon juice and peaches!
