Your going to live a long life, your not going to leave your wife alone just yet. I freaked out about the same issue but I am 75. My Gleason was 5-7 for years. Then jumped 11 and on day of surgery 15. We did all the test biopsy proved it was cancer. I also had enlarged prostate. So I opted to remove it and the lymph nodes. 3 months after I am < .O1. Removal brings about a few things for you to consider at your age. You will not be able to produce off spring , no testosterone, you will not get an erection. And you will wear diaper or pads for at-least 6 weeks. I am 5 months from RALP and still wear small pad during day. Some guys claim continence in 10 days ( I don’t believe them) some are 1 year. If you go for RALP do the keggles exercises before also after. Good luck and god bless.

You may have had to wear a diaper or pads for six weeks, I didn’t. After they pulled that catheter out, I had minimal leakage. It does happen to some of us.

I hope you meant those were your PSA numbers not your Gleason. What was your Gleason score?, Since you brought it up.

You can get an erection after surgery. If you read around in this form, you will find the number of people who’ve been able to get Erections. Some had nerve sparing and it worked, And they were able to get Erections, Some people had to wait months or even a year, but eventually worked for some of them. You can almost always get an erection using bimix or Trimix, It is not a lost cause.
