Mayo Clinic's Pain Rehab Program. Where to stay?

Posted by Nic @niclardy, May 9 9:55am

I’m looking for a reasonable, safe place to stay during the 16 day pain rehab? I will be without a vehicle as I’m flying so somewhere I am in walking distance. Thank you!

What we did is find a short-term corporate rental at an apartment complex in JAX. It was about the same price as a hotel, but we had a full-sized place to stay, including a kitchen. I would highly recommend it. Our apartment was two miles from Mayo. I went to PRC with my wife so she also had a great place to stay. In our PRC group a number of people also stayed at the Extended Stay and seemed to like it.

Thanks Dan I’m here at PRC and found an apartment. I applied through Neurohouse for help in my stay. I haven’t heard from them as far as help, which I’m bummed about, I applied a month ago. I got here Monday.

I am so happy for you. My encouragement to you is to lean into your PRC group as much as you can. Enjoy lunch together, go out to eat, sightsee, and most importantly make sure you stay in touch after graduation. Our group remains strong and we all text each other several times a week. The program goes by way too fast. The socialization and PT and even OT helped me the most. OT was a snoozefest during program but Infind that I apply some Elke wisdom weekly. Please give her my best.
