Well... I am taking an opiod based pain killer called Methadone. I have Monoclonal Gammopathy which is causing my immune system to produce twice the normal ammount of one antibody and attack my nerves (simplified). They are testing me for various types of cancer. If none is found they tell me they can bring my immune system down to a normal level and treat the Neuropathy. Hope this helps.
