That sounds stressful. How did they diagnose? One of the problems with modern, highly sensitive imaging is that while it detects smaller tumours, it also throws up more false positives.

A lot of it also depends on the skill and experience of the radiologists reading the scans. If you're not already at a "center of excellence" or other major teaching/research hospital, it might be worth trying to get into one.
