Did you have to travel to get to Mayo AZ. I live near Vegas so it’d be a long drive. I’m 77, my wife’s 73 both have sight in only one eye. Me cataracts, she MS. And where did you stay how expensive and how would you rate it. I have PCa and it’s not metastatic but it’s grown outside the prostate. Too old for surgery and IMRT gave me chronic diarrhea after only 8 treatments, couldn’t eat solid food for 2 weeks. I’ve been on orgovax for almost 4 months PSA and testosterone are undetectable. Thanks for your help about Mayo AZ anything would be helpful.

You don’t have to pay anything to stay at hotels When getting cancer treatment. Search the web for free hotel rooms for cancer patients. The American Cancer Society is one of the organizations that provides this. There are other organizations that do the same thing. You just need To make an appointment ahead of time.
I’m 77. I was on ADT for eight years. Only reason I’m off is because I’ve been on it so long my testosterone Probably won’t come back. My brother was one year younger than you when he had five sessions of SBRT for his prostate cancer. Hopefully the drugs you’re taking can keep you going for many years. You might want to look into getting SBRT instead of IMRT. There are many fewer sessions, though the radiation is stronger. Not sure that it’ll really work for you, but it can’t hurt to ask. If you get SpaceOAR or Barrigel, or BioProtect they can protect your rectum and bladder during radiation.
