I am sorry for your suffering and loss of your beloved horses. Horses were always my favorite animal growing up but never owned one. I just have a mini zoo of dogs and cats now.😉

What does your recent MRI show of your lumbar spine/sacrum and hips/pelvis? If you haven’t had them done recently, it would be good to get them updated.

What levels did they straighten with the rods?

Your symptoms sound like spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and neurogenic claudication. You may also want to check for soft tissue gluteal tendinopathy and hamstring tears plus nerve compression.

Have you been to a neurologist for EMG/nerve conduction studies of your lower limbs? If not, that might help pinpoint the level of nerve root compression.
