Has anyone tried a half dose of Evenity If so , what caused you to do that and what was the outcome? And, did you stay on half dose the entire year? Thank you.

@dbamos1945 As far as I know, Evenity should always be administered by a medical professional. Your vital signs and response are carefully monitored, particularly after your first dose. Who advised you to self-administer?

I administered my own Evenity injections. I never took Tylenol before or after. I am a chronic migraine sufferer and never had a headache or migraine after my shots. We are all different .

@kristie2 I apologize if my comment came off as judgemental. That was not my intention. I was not aware that Evenity has been approved for self-injection at home in the US, and I can certainly understand that some people would want to go that route.

I didn’t take your comment as being judgmental at all. My endocrinologist office did not give the injections so my insurance allowed me to self inject. They denied if given at an infusion center which is strange for I go there for my Prolia injection. They do a calcium blood draw 1st so maybe that is why.

While the efficacy for 1/2 dose evenity (romosozumab) wasn’t examined, other doses (70, 140 and 210mg) and dosing interval (every month or every 3 month) were studied. The table below shows the results of various dosing regimen of romosozumab (evenity) on lumbar bmd, compared with daily injection of 20mcg teriparatide (forteo) and weekly oral 70mg alendronate (fosamax) in a phase 2 trial.

The 140mg dose was thought not to offer a clear safety advantage.

The fracture risk reduction was studied later only on 210mg romosozumab.

Thanks for the chart. I am confused how to read this though. I just started Fosamax, tried evenity and had bad effects and too expensive.

Sometimes we worry ourselves sick. That was me too starting Evenity. I've had 9 months of Evenity and the only issue is sore arms for 2 days. One reason is, the nurse injects too fast, and I don't speakup. Best wishes.

@newenglandtransplant, oopsiedaisy: dbamos1945 here reporting my 1st injections of Evenity completed today. I followed your protocols, injected in stomach via online instruction, with success! I am now turned from uncertainty to thinking of only positive results and much bone building for 12 months! I want to thank y’all for your kind hand-holding advice. 🙂
