1. Suggest to sit on your toilet before surgery, consider if you are able to sit without breaking 90 degrees hip bending. If you are moderately tall and you have standard low toilets, a riser probably will help.
2. In regards to precautions after anterior hip replacement, I recommend reading about this, I believe you will find various opinions but at least some precautions will apply, especially the first weeks and months. I was "cleared" of precautions and dislocated at 10 weeks bending at the waist, unusual but be careful for at least as long as your doc and physical therapist advise and maybe a couple months more!

Hi. I’m on day 24 post replacement. Both the surgeon and PA advised I have no leg movement restrictions. And surprisingly, I have no pain bending to the front or sideways. Still discomfort when weight bearing but getting better. I’ll double check with surgeon re the 90 degree bend when I see him in three weeks.
