So wonderful that you will be publishing a book of your poems! My dad was a poet who wrote a lot, but they were all written and published in Russian.

I have two memoirs almost finished, but I find publishing process to be very intimidating. So, I will just self-publish enough copies to give to my kids and grandkids.

I admire you for having multiple books published!

That is very cool to hear about your dad! The tradition of Russian literature has some of the most beautiful poetry in the world. I've been in small press/independent publishing world most of life--as editor, publisher, magazine writer, and author. But self-publishing is also great. And so easy right now. It's a wonderful idea to share memoir copies with your family--sure to be treasured.

Self-publishing is a viable option, and quite affordable.
I went that route for a novel back in 2002.
I still sell a few copies now and then.

It's pretty cool to have a physical book that has your own words in it.

(And by the way, I'm a big fan of Russian lit, falling on the Tolstoy side. I've read "War and Peace" fourteen times.)
