Biden will be here soon: Former President metastatic prostate cancer

Posted by peterj116 @peterj116, May 18 3:38pm

"On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone."
"While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians," the statement continued.

As a non-American watching the last 4 years from afar, I make no comment.

Per the Washington Post, Biden says he will be taking 2 pills, not one. He'll start out with one and then add a second in about 6 weeks he said. “It’s all a matter of taking a pill, one particular pill for the next six weeks and then another one,” Biden added. “The expectation is we’re going to be able to beat this. There’s no — it’s not in any organ, my bones are strong, it hadn’t penetrated.”

Biden also said he's talking to a leading surgeon: "Biden said Friday that he was working with “one of the leading surgeons in the world,” one who had received the same diagnosis himself 32 years ago, and that the doctor is “alive and well.”

Well, typical Biden-speak, literally all over the place. He’s not gonna beat it (cure it), it has penetrated his bones (it’s metastatic) so they’re probably weak, and he’s probably not working with a surgeon ( it’s inoperable), or even one who’s alive and well.
As many of us have witnessed, the poor guy has dementia - or obvious cognitive decline - So who really knows what the heck he’s talking about?
The bright side is that he has a cheerful attitude and isn’t aware of the seriousness of his condition. That said, he’ll probably live to be 100….

I agree with Phil lol, Biden has been "all over the place" for YEARS in his speeches, even before his first election and all was always compounded with slight stutter and now add a dash of mild cognitive decline. He is 82 years old and very frail. At this point "the less is better" and he will probably go from this world from something else and I also hope he lives to be a 100 :). Regarding surgeon comment - maybe he is treated by a prostate cancer surgeon, why not ? If Biden liked that doctor and feels most comfortable with that doctor, why would he change a doctor who is specialist for PC no matter if he is surgeon or radiologist - I mean they all prescribe ADT , no ???

Isn’t “probably live to be 100…” the definition of cure?

Nobody of us has "expiration date" tattooed on our ankle at birth. Some people beat the odds no matter what was the diagnosis ; ) ! Stephen Hawking lived 55 years with ALS and most patients die in span of 3 to 5 years. Besides, maybe in 5 years there will be a cure for advanced PC *high five !!!

You said it! The second number on the headstone really says it all, no matter how you got there.
