Have any of you heard of Calmare Scrambler Therapy?
Have any of you gone to doctors for Scrambler Therapy? It is a special therapy for neuropathy that was written about (positively) by Johns Hopkins and Mayo Clinic doctors. Many people have been helped by it….Unfortunately not covered by health insurance.

Have you got any updates?
I went to the clinic in New Jersey in late March. Four sessions of treatments, thirty-five minutes each. Did nothing for my neuropathy, It just lightened my wallet by about $2500(including hotel, food, and transportation). They discontinued therapy due to my not getting any relief. I guess some people benefit from it. Not me.
What area of pain did it treat for you?
It was mainly lower back and buttocks.
I guess it is legtimate - Walmart sells a do-it-yourself scrambler for $145. I wonder if it works on eggs.
Ha, ha. Good one!
Thank you, but seriously folks-they do!
By the way, any relation to Werner?
I tried scrambler therapy w Calmar. Unfortunately it didn’t help my neuropathy
Sometimes I have to wonder exactly how may people get relief from these treatments. Scrambler: 82% success rate, but I have read that so many don't. SCS: 70-80% success rate. I have spoken to many who have had no success. Pain pump: success rate 94%. I had one implanted two years ago. Still no help. Honestly, doesn't that make you pause?
Based upon some of the comments I truly wonder if they had Scrambler Therapy. You can’t buy it in a store and the cost is much higher than $2500. There only 3 reputable medical facilities that perform it. The Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Minnesota, the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio and John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. All 3 of these medical facilities are in the top 10 in the country. Anywhere else I would be very leery. If there is any who has had the Scrambler therapy at either of the facilities it would be most beneficial if you wonder make a comment. My insurance will not cover it despite the FDA approved it in 2009. My peripheral neuropathy was chemotherapy induced. I plan to pay for the Scrambler out of pocket and have it done within the next few months.
