@donnaetta, I'm wondering if you had a brachial plexus injury. It is a rare but possible complication of mastectomy surgery. It can cause temporary or permanent loss of function and sensation in the arm. Recovery from a brachial plexus injury can be slow, potentially taking months or even years.

Have you recently had a new injury to your neck and shoulder area?
