At age 66, I began the same regimen as your husband. I just finished my two-year stint in October. I was very active prior to treatment and was able to remain active for a little over a year. Then the cumulative effects of the treatment hit me, and I was tired all the time, and took many naps and didn’t have the energy to exercise. I was on a 5 mg dose of prednisone, but I didn’t want to up it, because my osteopenia had already become osteoporosis (I was given Reclast to deal with that). My ADT ended this past October, and over time I’ve felt better and better. I’ve become active again and almost feel my old self. I hope this information helps and gives you and your husband something to look forward to.
