When to accept permanent long covid?

Unfortunately, at this point there isn't much that can be done for Long-COVID. And with that , for the hundreds of thousands or millions who suffer with it, it is a serious problem. Don't give up hope. Stay within the limits of the energy you have. I'm hoping and wishing for each and every one of us that there will be a breakthrough, and soon. Right now, it's not here yet. And I hope each and every one can find a compassionate medical provider.

I was just wondering about all the stories you hear about long covid and whether it will ever go away… to date we still have covid infecting hundreds of thousands but no one is reporting this information anymore so most people think that it’s over now. This virus has no cure that we know of so they keep putting out vaccines for the never ending variants that crop up… could it be that long covid isn’t curable until they find one vaccine that makes you immune to every variant that comes out. This is just a theory and I’m not saying it’s the answer to this question but somehow it seems plausible because we’re fighting symptoms totally new to our bodies and the cause is a virus we can’t get rid of…I’m curious about what others think of this idea.

Well said joanland. We are probably pretty much on our own at this point. But we do have one another. And we understand. The support is so helpful to me. My wife has no interest, acknowledgement or understanding of long covid, even though I've always been there for her and her medical issues. Cancer, brain surgery, etc. Disappointing.
