I am on 2.5 mg of midodrine, twice a day if needed. But should not take it near an evening dinner, lay down after ingesting it. Supposedly, it will cause worsening of hypotension if you lay down. Difficult to follow the timing advice. Also, takes 3 to 6 hours to increase blood pressure.

I see many patients taking a much larger dose than 2.5mg, & take it more often. Suffer from very low stamina, dizziness. Seems A-Fib, and palpataions appear after attempting to be more active take about two weeks to become more stable. Each patient is different, but changing quantity of dose seems to take quite a while to stabilize.
