Jiffy knee replacement

Posted by denhyg1run @denhyg1run, Oct 11, 2024

Has anyone heard about Jiffy Knee Replacement? It was invented by a Dr. Patel in Virginia. Supposedly they don't cut your femur or ligaments. Any knowledge would be beneficial. Here in Las Vegas, a Dr. McGee does them and the recovery is short and no need for pain meds. Thanks, Diana

No. Dr. Manish Patel is in Virginia. The jiffyknee.com site has a list of the only doctors trained to do the jiffy knee procedure. It also explains the benefits and has testimonials. As mentioned above, the FB page for jiffy knee replacement fan club can be helpful also.

I will be having the Jiffy Knee surgery in February or March. They don't cut the quad, they go in under it. This helps a lot with a quicker recovery.

Has anybody had Jiffy knee replacement using the Velys robot and Attune knee system. Or does anybody know anything about these systems?

what robot does he use? Is it the Vely robot with the Attune knee replacement?

I would like to know this too because that is what my surgeon uses. Can't seem to find much on this

I would love to hear more info on the Jiffy knee surgery. I had a bad experience with total knee replacement on my right knee. My left knee is bad but I have always felt that I would never have another knee replacement. Maybe in a few years, I could do this procedure! I’m always waiting for new improvements to come out regarding knee surgery. Thank you for posting this topic! MaryAnn from Boston

I have a friend who had a traditional knee replacement and a rough time and slow recovery too. She did the jiffy knee on her second one 5 weeks ago and is thrilled with how much faster she has recovered. Less pain also. She is telling everyone how much better the jiffy knee surgery was and what a huge difference between her first one and the jiffy one. She says no one should ever do the old way because this was so much easier and better. Several others I know also are very happy with their decisions to do the jiffy knee instead of the traditional. My husband has had both his knees done the jiffy way also and is so glad he didn’t have to go through the traditional way. Look up jiffy knee.com and the jiffy knee fan club on Facebook. It is really worth looking into. Minimally invasive is not the same. Good luck!

Does any have experience with the CORI method? It is involves robotics too. The surgeon who did the tkr on my left knee is now using it. Thanks in advance.
I see that other surgeons in our system are using the ROSA system.

I just had Cori knee replacement 3 weeks ago. Recovery is pretty typical from what I’ve heard. First 2 weeks are rough. Starting to get a bit better
