Visited my physio yesterday and he did not agree you can overdo kegel training. He recommended 4x per day with two sets of ten in each session, one for 5 second holds working up to 10 seconds and 10 with just short quick holds. Advided not to over strain but did not say you can over train as will help outcomes.

I suggest researching this deeper on your own, what I posted above is from the Cleveland Clinic regarding too many Kegel's, and this mirrors similar statement on Mayo and many other sites - things that also reflect the advice given to me by my pelvic floor therapists (doctors), urologists (doctors), physical therapy experts (doctors) and my personal trainer, who is not a doctor but was trained by doctors to properly teach pelvic floor exercises.

This is not a matter of me needing or even wanting to be right about this, that's not my agenda, it's about passing on advice that hopefully doesn't put you in a position where you over exert yourself and actually CAUSE incontinence as a result of a messed up pelvic floor.

Part of it can be how it was either asked, interpreted or comprehended. Technically, you cannot over "train" your pelvic floor doing your 3 times a day, but if you were to do, say, 10 times a day of this you will absolutely over train and can cause damage that could take months or years to recover from.

But, ultimately, it's your call. If you strongly feel that you are correct in the assertion that you can do as many as you want then you need to do what is right for you. I'm responding to this thread again only to clarify my position for anyone else who stumbles upon this thread and feels it's OK to just hammer those Kegel's all day long thinking that "more is better".

Good luck, I do hope whatever approach you take serves you well!
